2007-2008 Photo Contest

Share your Total Wetland Experience with Others!

Start photographing & documenting your outdoor activities. Photographers are invited to enter the 2007-2008 MWDI Photo Contest!  Your photos will help MWDI improve our "Best Practices" and Certification Training Programs by providing valuable illustrations to help train our growing volunteer force.  We are also hoping to expand our photo library with images of the Total Wetland Experience.  Truly a picture is worth a thousand words! As photos are received, we will post them on this website.

MWDI will award prizes in both adult and youth (age 17 or younger) categories.  First prizes in both adult and youth categories are framed prints of the 2007-2008 Maryland Duck Stamp artwork, "Autumn Glory," generously donated by artist Jim Taylor.  Other prizes will include miniature wood duck castings.

The event or image captured in any one of the categories noted in Entry Rule #4 below is most important. The degree of difficulty to obtain the image, originality, and benefit to MWDI’s educational objectives will also be considered by the judges.

It's not too late to submit entries for the MWDI Photo Contest. Jim Taylor's Autumn Glory, the 2007 MD Duck Stamp winner, will be awarded as first prizes in November to 1 adult and 1 child winner. MWDI wishes to thank Jim for his kind donation and wish him success in the Federal Duck Stamp competition this fall. Jim can be contacted at JTaylor@IWiF.com

Interim Prize Winners Announced!
