Predator Guards

Best Management Practices are Paying Off!!!

Black Hills Park, Little Seneca Lake,  Montgomery Co
Nest Box Inspection - November 1, 2007

Ducklings increased from 34 to 83 in just one year at Little Seneca Lake with credit going to the good work by Huey Helbert and Dale Crigger, MCNPPC staff, who added cone-shaped predator guards - thereby preventing the four snake-abandoned boxes experienced the previous year.

Thanks to the efforts of Huey Helbert and Dale Crigger,
this 9-box program experienced a 244% jump in production in just one year!
