17 MWDI and 4 HSBC USA volunteers (as part of their $5k support of Ducks Unlimited
Harford County wildlife projects, including the wood duck
program) gathered at
Stevens Tools in Annapolis May 5th to cut up 2,500+ board feet of
cedar into box kits for MWDI public projects and to deliver 1,200
board feet to the J. M. Tawes Career and Technology Center and Harford
County Ducks Unlimited Chapter for their use in making wood duck
boxes.
More than 350 wood duck boxes will be created from
these efforts. 63 of the box kits were ordered for various private
programs and the Tawes students will build 50 boxes that will be
available for private purchase in the fall of 2008.
